Bonnie shares how EDS affects her daily life-
EDS affects me in the joints - fingers/thumbs/knees/hips/SI joints. Feet are really bad and I wear orthotics in them. I've had plantar fascitis that it made me cry to walk. My joints hurt sooooooo bad when I work that I can barely walk, let alone sit on the floor or in the kiddie chairs. Then I can barely get up OFF the floor. I walk slower than most people now when I used to be a fast walker! Memory problems, attention problems, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, tons of trigger points, fibromyalgia, TMJ, foot problems, hips that sublux/dislocate, same for the SI joints and toes. Ulnars on both wrists sublux and have for years but I didn't know what was happening. Same for one of the bones going into the knee area - it will slip. I use a cane when my legs/hips/SI joints give me trouble. When I was really bad I would use a wheelchair for going to the mall. Can't lift heavy things as this pulls on the wrists/elbows/shoulder joints, hurts the back and knees. I've damaged every major joint in my body as well as soft tissue damage thru out the whole body from various accidents/injuries... I'm sure I'm missing tons of stuff here.. Hope this helps!
